The term "VTC" is an acronym for Virtual Trucking Company. But what exactly is a "Virtual Trucking Company"? A VTC is a community-developed roleplaying concept designed to add to the virtual trucking experience. They have existed since TruckersMP was created, and perhaps even before then.

Today, there are hundreds of VTCs, but when the concept first emerged, there were only a few. Some of these included ETR, APL, DZG, and LKW. In the subsequent years, around 2015-2018, more VTCs were formed, such as EHHVTC and the renamed TSRVTC.

How VTCs operate largely depends on each company. It is entirely up to the management of said company, and how they appear as a virtual company. Most commonly, VTCs have fixed paint jobs that are easily identifiable, and they tend to adopt a color theme across all their branding, whether it be websites or logos.

Speaking of websites and logos, almost all VTCs have a website where you can find more information, meet the team, see some photos of their fleet, and even apply to join! Depending on how the VTC chooses to recruit, you can apply through their own system or use the TruckersMP VTC system.
